Calling All Youth Organisations Across Europe!
Are you a youth centre or organization committed to making your space more inclusive for young people with sensory disabilities? The SENSES Label Certification is now available—a chance to be recognized for your efforts in creating accessible, inclusive environments for everyone.
The SENSES project, co-funded by Erasmus+ Programme and the European Union, provides certification to youth organizations working in arts and culture that excel in accessibility for individuals with sensory disabilities. The label is designed to foster more accessible spaces across Europe and promote international networks that champion disability inclusivity.
What’s in it for you? Youth organizations across Europe, regardless of their size, can apply to receive the SENSES Label, showcasing their dedication to accessibility in:
Physical Accessibility: Braille signage, quiet zones, adaptable lighting
Digital Accessibility: Screen reader compatibility, captions for videos
Communication Accessibility: Alternative text, easy-to-read formats
Universal Design Principles
Who Can Apply? Youth organizations (NGOs, museums, libraries, educational and art centers, etc.) within EU Member States or Erasmus+ associated countries, actively offering activities for young people (ages 13-30) in arts and culture.
How It Works? Submit an application by filling out a checklist of accessibility criteria and uploading evidence of your efforts. Meeting at least 25 out of 50 points on the checklist will qualify your organization for the certification. Applications can be submitted in a variety of formats (PDF, images, videos, etc.) for maximum inclusivity!
